To maintain a healthy and productive piggery unit, we implement the following best practices:
Biosecurity & Safety Measures
Restricted Entry: Access to the pig unit is controlled. Only authorized personnel are allowed to enter, as indicated by our restriction notices.
No Outside Pork Products: We strictly prohibit the purchase or consumption of pork products from outside the farm within the piggery area to avoid introducing diseases.
Prophylactic Measures:
Routine deworming of pigs.
Regular disinfection of unit walls (inside and outside) to prevent disease-causing organisms.
Proper Feed Storage: Animal feeds are stored in clean, dry conditions to avoid contamination from mould and toxins.
Prevention of Stray Animals & Birds: We secure our units to prevent access by stray animals, birds, or any external carriers that may transmit infections.
Vitamin Supplementation: Our pigs receive regular multi-vitamin supplements to boost immunity and prevent nutrient deficiency-related infections.
